Maria Sulimma (maria.sulimma@uni-due.de) is the Postdoctoral Researcher in the research group “Scripts for Postindustrial Urban Futures: American Models, Transatlantic Interventions” at the Department of Anglophone Studies at the University Duisburg-Essen. Her research spans literary and cultural studies, urban studies, and feminist media studies. She is the author of Gender and Seriality: Practices and Politics of Contemporary US Television (Edinburgh UP, 2021). Her recent work is on storytelling and gentrification, as well as urban pastimes of 19th-century and 21st-century fiction.
